As Senior Innovation Manager, Nelson built four new innovation departments and strategies across Lufthansa Group companies.
Nelson Inno helps organizations turn ideas into tested products and services, and teams that keep innovating on their own.
An innovation consultant helps an organization find the right problems, test solutions fast, and build the habits to keep doing it. Nelson learned this inside Lufthansa Group, where he built four new innovation departments, and now brings it to companies and institutions in El Salvador and Central America.
Where to innovate, what to stop, and how to organize people and budget so new ideas do not die in a meeting.
A focused week to go from a real problem to a tested prototype, with the people who will own it.
Design and facilitation of hackathons and challenges for companies, foundations and public institutions.
Workshops that build the innovator mindset in leaders and teams, based on the ideas of Unstable Innovation.
Megatrends and future scenarios for national planning, as Nelson does as ad-honorem advisor to ADDN.

Most of Nelson's work goes into one thing: helping organizations build a culture where people innovate every day, not only in special projects.
He uses a simple model, the Innovator's Triangle. Every innovator needs three things growing together:
Mindset. The curiosity and courage to question how things are done and to act when the path is not clear.
Knowledge. A deep understanding of the problem, the people, the business and the technology.
Skills. The practical methods to turn ideas into tested solutions, from design sprints to prototypes.
A culture changes when all three grow at the same time. That is why every program Nelson designs works on all three.

Nelson has worked on innovation for about ten years, from Lufthansa Group to his own agency. He cared about it enough to write a book about it.
Unstable Innovation (2025) shows how to become an innovator by embracing chaos, uncertainty and acceleration instead of fighting them. It has more than 2,000 readers, in English and in Spanish as Innovación Inestable, and it is the base of his workshops.
The Enlightened No. Innovation needs focus, and focus needs a clear, respectful no. Saying no to the wrong project, client or feature is how teams protect the few ideas that matter.
Interviews and data to find the problems worth solving, not only the loudest ones.
One clear challenge, the people who own it, and how success will be measured.
A design sprint or hackathon to generate and prototype solutions fast.
Real users test the prototype. What fails is dropped early and cheaply.
The winning idea gets an owner, a budget and a plan, and the team keeps the method.
